PROMOTING INTENTIONAL ART IN SCHOOLS & BEYOND

At OpenDoors, our approach is rooted in a simple yet powerful belief, that every child, teacher, and learner can move from art appreciation to art creation. We seek to reclaim art’s rightful place in education, not as a hobby or extracurricular pursuit, but as a vital way of learning, thinking, and being. Through carefully designed session plans grounded in backward design and universal design principles, we support art educators in creating classrooms that are inclusive, intentional, and alive with creativity. 

Each lesson unfolds in small, meaningful steps that nurture imagination, skill, and reflection.. recognising that children are not trainees to be trained, but human beings in evolution, learning to see, feel, and express the world around them. We see art helping people grow not in their careers, skill sets, but also in life. 

We believe that art can transform the way children see themselves and the world they live in. Our program is built on the idea that when children experience art not as a subject, but as a way of being. It nurtures curiosity, empathy, and imagination. Through experiences that are open-ended and joyful, we invite children to create, question, and connect with themselves, with others, and with the world around them. Each session is designed to be as fluid and free-spirited as a child’s own imagination, allowing learning to unfold naturally.
